After years devoted to landscape painting, I have recently turned my attention to a series of works featuring geometric-abstract figures. These are not portraits, but forms that arise from basic shapes: circles, lines, rectangles, squares, symbols, and other graphic elements. Through this non-figurative language, I convey personal messages and tell imaginary stories inspired by music, dance, and poetry.
I love color—I’m drawn to its vibrancy. I enjoy expressing joy and, above all, positivity. Not necessarily through classical representation, but through a new and personal way of expressing myself.
"In my Mind" (2018) created with warm and harmonious tones, I use the transparency of watercolor to compose a fluid and dynamic scene that evokes dreamlike visions and intimate reflections.

Balalaika Lesson, 2018, Oil on Canvas
"Balalaika Lesson" (2018) is an oil on canvas by contemporary artist Annemarie Ambrosoli, defined by her unique geometric aesthetic and bold chromatic expression. Harmonious shades of blue, red, and yellow build a dynamic composition that reveals her personal visual language. The artwork depicts a joyful scene of young students immersed in a music lesson, learning to play the traditional Russian balalaika. The stylized arrangement of figures evokes a symbolic dialogue, enriching the visual narrative and celebrating cultural identity and the communicative power of music. The piece emotionally engages the viewer, inviting them into its expressive energy—an authentic example of contemporary art that merges content, form, and viewer interaction.
